This year I told myself I wouldn’t let anything stop me. Things have been hitting us left and right since 2020 started so I wanted to do something fun. This self portrait session means so much because it’s been 3 years since I truly took the time to capture myself.

This session says… 2020 is not going to beat me!

When I began this year I was sure this was going to be my year. Isn’t that how we all start each year. Then before things could really get started Covid-19 hit us like a ton of bricks. My anxiety went through the roof. I feared for my children’s lives and my own and the thing that threatened us couldn’t be seen. I never thought a pandemic would be something I would need to deal with. Police continue to kill people who look like me. #blacklivesmatter Racism is racism and the president of the United States… well we won’t discuss that.

Through all that God was sure this would still be the year for me to see some amazing results from all my hard work. I’ve worked some very long hours, laughed, cried, and cried some more and made two companies that support my 3 children.

Love is Blind a Netflix reality TV show aired and my company that I worked hard to build got the credit for some amazing photos. I moved from a transition apartment after my divorce into a beautiful huge 5 bedroom home. I got my new car... a Mercedes Benz and kept my Mazda 3 for my son to use to learn in. He is a 13 year old with a car. Yup teaching him early.

Now my companies have landed two amazing jobs that you can hear more about in 2021. Gotta keep this quiet for now. This is my year because I’m going to make it my year DAMNIT! Lol.

I am BLESSED. Life has been amazing.
